What are some good hard rock or metal bands of today?

Not hardcore, metalcore, deathcore, death metal,

but bands with similar sounds to Iron Maiden, Pantera, Led Zeppelin, Guns N' Roses etc.?

  3. Airbourne is a great one. Debuted last year. Here's one of their best songs: "Too Much, Too Young, Too Fast"

  4. Conquest Of Steel... they are better live than on CD though in my opinion!

    i'll try and think of some more later... also are you into thrash? there are some great thrash bands around now that have the true spirit of old school thrash!!

    -Queens of the Stoneage

    - The Strokes

    - Muse

    - Audioslave

    - Franz Ferdinand

    - Blur

  12. I really must add, that Airbourne sucks. Sounding exactly like AC/DC does not make you a good hard rock band.
