  1. My mother used to live in Eden, It is a nice place to visit. However, the whole of the NSW coast from Eden to Tweed Heads has nice scenery, nice beaches and interesting places to visit.

If you will be travelling up the NSW coast, make sure you stop at the blow hole in Kiama.

In Sydney there are many attractions such as the Opera House and the harbour bridge.

For a few suggestions away from the coast, try

    - Kosciousco National park, for the scenery

    - Canberra. It has many interesting places to visit such as the telecom tower, cockington green, parliament house and the war memorial

    - a drive along the Sturt highway on the Hay plain. There is nothing to see but apparently some people are interested in that too. That is to say, there are sections of road where the horizon is just a bowl with not a tree, bush, house or anything else to block the view.

    - Lightning ridge for opals

    - Broken Hill for mining history and the "Outback" experience

    - Hunter valley for a winery tour

For a few suggestions in Victoria try,

    - a drive along the great ocean road for magnificent scenery

    - Bendigo for goldfields history

    - Rutherglen for a winery tour

    - North East Victorian high country for beautiful "Man from Snowy river" country

    - Mildura for paddle steamers

    I hope this helps!

  2. Eden in New South Wales is great.

Have a look for Twofold Bay Beach Resort, they have outdoor spas and a beautiful pool. It's not that expensive either, and is right near the beach. The sands around that area are beautiful and golden in the Summer.
