  1. grooming ,cleaning stalls also just rideing people horses that cant ride that often any more.

  2. my best bet would to work at a tack shop especially if you are good with tack and stuff , you learn sooo much there ,Also you might want to post adds to be horse groom at local tack shops and list the price , that way people can call you if there interested

    here are some other ideas

    .apply at a camp

    .apply as a stable cleaner

.go to a small barn and excersize there horses

.ask if you can help at beginner lessons tacking up and grooming

.Work at a therapeutic riding farm

.if your really good at riding offer to train young horses (off ground or in the saddle)

    .pony rides

  3. Since I live in a racehorse town, this answer is going to mostly focus on racehorses.

If you don't mind mucking stalls, you can probably get a job at any barn that has horses (racehorses, show horses).  A groom not only grooms horses but usually takes care of the stalls and feeding/watering of the horses too.  If there is a race track near where you live, these should be easy to find.

At 16, I believe you can get your parent's consent to become an exercise rider or a hotwalker.

    Good luck!  :-)

  4. you could always muck!

    lol

but you could also volunteer to ride anyone at your barn's horses, talk to your trainer, they could probably dig something up for you. you could maybe talk to your farrier to see if they need a hand.

what has turned out as the perfect summer job for me is working at a tack store. it's air conditioned, and you have the good chance of getting some good deals. my job also includes going to local shows as a ribbon hander outer too, which is fun :]

see if anyone is going out of town on vacation and offer to keep their horses in shape and not bored while they're away. just talk to plenty of horsey people and get to know them. they will keep you in mind when they need someone.

one last one...find a company that gives pony rides, it's fun and easy. loading and unloading a trailer then watching little kids have their first go on a horse is adorable.

    good luck

  5. Well let's see... You could work at a tack shop or you could work at a local barn. Try to find a barn that's not really a big business. That way you may be able to ride for work and money. Hope this helps!! =)

  6. check out some local boarding barns. ask if you could get a job there or be a groom for shows.

or you could attend some local shows, going around and looking at the horses.. and ask if anyone would be willing to hire a groom

  7. OOH I love this question!  I'm exactly like you.  If you have the patience, you could be a horse trainer.  For example, Clinton Anderson.  You could also own a breeding farm and/or boarding farm.     Also, if you have a soft spot for people, you could do a theriputic riding program, or just have regular riding programs.  If you're a very passionate person about horses, you could have a horse rescue center.  There are millions of people out there who are un unexperianced, can't afford, or choose not to care for their horses.  Millions of horses also go to the slaughter house each year.  It's something that makes me want to cry.  You can also pick any occupation in the world, such as animal grooming, and have a ranch on the side.  When it comes to horses, the possibilities are endless!

  8. well it really matters where you live. Like in Potosi they have YMCA place and have horses there. Or you kind find a stable that needs  some help with some things like working with kids. Or maybe you  should clean stalls and move up from there.
