What are some good ideas for finding a good employee to work in my child care facility?

I have advertised in the paper, but I am not getting many good applicants. Plenty of people are applying, they just don't fit what I need (or I would not hire them to work with children). What are some other ways that I could use to find good employees?

  1. One of the  great things i ever did was look in to taking surveys online. I now  collect close to an extra  $1000 a week for me and my family. I will warn you though there are a lot of  rip off sites. If you want go here http://snipurl.com/37d6d thats how i got started. Good Luck

  2. Do you live near a college that has an early childcare program? If so, you might place an advertisement with the college's student employment program, listing what you need and what you're willing to pay for the right applicant. Students in early childcare programs are always looking for ways to boost their experience and put what they're learning to good use, and you know their training is up to date and that they're continuing their education.

  3. You already received a great answer which was going to be my suggestion too. Only other place I think you can find good people are at Church's. Many have bulletin boards for announcements and will let you place an ad on them. Best of luck!~~
