  1. Try the Kashi bars the peanut butter is excellent and there are many more with whole grains, nuts and fruits that are wonderful and help keep you going.  Fresh fruit is going to be one of your best choices, sliced apples and melons.  You might also try a good protein shake, pour a scoop into a water bottle, fill it and you have breakfast, lunch, snack or dinner.

I am certain your coach can give you some wonderful ideas as well.  Don't think of it as a snack, think of it as fuel, you want to keep the body healthy and running, snack for your car is good oil and topping off the gas tank, that is what you are doing with your body.  Good Luck!

  2. Make your own granola. Use soy nuts, sunflower seed, oatmeal, dried fruit, honey, cinnamon etc. bake it all together and its delicious!

  3. celery with peanut butter.

  4. carrots and dip, rasins, you could even put already cooked chicken breast in a baggy and eat that for protien

  5. I like a mixture of dried fruits like raisins, cranberries, etc. Also just a plain old apple (I like Granny Smith) or a bag of baby carrots will give you energy. Drink a glass of OJ. Powerbars are good, some people like Nutrigrain bars, I think a cup of yogurt is better.

Try to eat when you are done with your work-outs too. Make sure you get a healthy amount of protein, especially after gymnastics. This will make sure that you have enough protein to replace damaged muscle, and your body won't rob your organs of protein instead.

    Good Luck!

  6. Yes. You might want to try string cheese, fage yogurt, pria bars, clif z bars, or even some fruit.

  7. Make peanutbutter/honey  balls.

Mix 1 part peanutbutter with 1 part honey.

    Mix together until blended in.

Then add 2 parts dry powdered milk.

    It'll make a dough.

Form little balls about half the size of golfballs.

Refrigerate and store in sandwich bags.

    You can freeze them, too!

    Great for energy.
