Go through the family photo album and do a "This is your life"  Write a breif history of your mom's life and her accomplishments (you are one of those) and read it at the party.

Make her a card and pick some wildflowers. Even or especially if you are a teen. Mom's don't need things, we just need to know you appreciate our existance :)

my kids made me a voucher booklet last year with vouchers for:

foot massages

back massages

hand massages

making cups of coffee

washing up

vaccuuming

letting me sleep in

I know that they generally hate doing these things so it meant that they were willing to go out of their way for me.

I love it when they make me poems or write me a letter telling me what they love about me.
