What are some good instrumental songs/ or non-instrumental songs to do ballet to?

I have songs from romeo&juliet and titanic but i need more ideas. NOT JUST FROM MOVIES!

When i say instrumental for ballet, i listen to stuff like "Direction" by Interpol and "Kissing You (instrumental)" from Romeo&Juliet and a lot of other stuff.

I also need songs that are good for tap and/or jazz too.

Preferably music that adults/teens would dance too but some little kid stuff would be helpful too, because I teach dance as well.

The music can be old or new, I'd prefer new music but old is sometimes better.(:

Hope that explains enough. Thanks Guys!

  1. Here are some interesting ones that are not overused:

    Instrumental Ballet:

"Comptine D'Un Autre Ete" - from the movie Amelie

    "Classical Gas" - Vanessa Mae

    "Andare" - Ludovico Einaudi

    "Magic Hour" - Ahn Trio

    "Dream" - Ahn Trio

"Shootout, Pt. 1" - from the movie In Bruges (it could be really fun to dance to! More of a modern style of ballet)

    "Explosive" - Bond

    "Allegretto" - Bond

    Non-instrumental ballet:

    "23" - Jimmy Eats World

"Here Comes the Sun" - The Beatles

"Because" - from the movie Across the Universe (this is a remake of a Beatles song, but its so soothing and would look beautiful)

"Without You" - from the musical RENT

"Everytime it Rains" - Charlotte Martin (very powerful)

"Sugarcane" - Missy Higgins (this would work really well for little kids)

"Lullaby for a Stormy Night" - Vienna Teng

    "Cannonball" - Vienna Teng

"Happiness" - Goldfrapp (this one could be funky and upbeat. very different!)

    Tap:

"Wikked Lil' Grrrls" - Esthero (make sure it's the clean version!)

"We Will Rock You" - Queen (good for kids since its not too fast. I choreographed a tap for some kids to this song at they loved it!)

    "Toy Soldier" - Britney Spears

    "Wonderful Night" - Fatboy Slim

"Technologic" - Daft Punk (the younger girls at my dance studio tapped to this for recital and it came it well!)

    "11h30" - Danger

"Pink Panther Theme (Techno Remix)" - Dream Chaser

"Sparkling Diamonds" - from the movie Moulin Rouge

"Diamond Hipster Boy" - Washington Social Club

    Jazz:

    "Popular" - The Veronicas

    "Bones" - The Killers

    "Paralyzed" - Rock Kills Kid

"Fruit Machine" - The Ting Tings

    "Feeling Good" - Michael Buble

"Heart of Glass" - Skye Sweetnam

    "Prelude 12/21" - AFI

    "Feel It" - Jakalope

"Unforgiven" - Fefe Dobson (very thrashy)

    "Strict Machine" - Goldfrapp

"The Libertine" - Patrick Wolf (kind of dark, but would be amazing!)

Hope I could help! You can find all of these on iTunes. :)
