What are some good jobs for a 16 year old?

im 16 and was wanting to get my first job.I dont need to make much just enofe to pay my phone bill,2 electric bills,gas,and put a little in savings for college.What are some sugestions as where to work?I know that the movie gallery only highers 18 and above as well as the cingular phone place.Is there any place that highers 16 year olds for full time all year round?

Well, the best thing i would do is go onto a phone book and call differnt place you want to work at and see if their hiring. thats what i did =)

maybe starbucks, sonic, DQ, mcdonalds, bk, wendy's, there are a lot of options.

You could be a tutor

Work At A local daycare

A babysitter

Work at a clothing store.

gas stations

McDonalds

Wendys

Arbys

Thats all I can think of.

My question is, why a 16 year old needs to pay 2 electric bills??  Aside from that, you never said if you're a boy or a girl, but I'd suggest mowing grass, babysitting, bagging groceries, washing cars, or McDonalds.  All these will help you to establish some references and experience for a better job in due course.  Good luck!

My first job at 16 was at a garden nursery. It was hard work, but I learned a lot about plants, fertilizer, and other helpful stuff.

Well my first job I was 15 and I worked at Burger King for $4.25 / hour (Hey! It wasn't even THAT long ago lol). Second job I was a bus boy. Of course I hadn't graduated but...

Just look around at the mall if you have one there or something like that. In Colorado I think you can work Full Time at 16. The other poster who said retail is a good idea;  there is just a lot out there. Maybe look on Craigslist?
