Cannondale makes an F7 MTB Bike at around 399 and Gary Fisher make the wahoo at around 400.  I believe the Trek 4300 is in the same ball park.  You can find a diamondback in the 300 range.

I just got a Dawes on Ebay a few months ago for $199.  It is not super light, but I ride it to work every day, and it definitely gets me from A to B.  There are a lot of fancier pricier bikes out there, but for what I paid, I am very happy with my Dawes.

As a wise man once said "Pick too:  Light, Strong, and/or Cheap".  Do a bit of research and as the other guy said, we dont know what kind of bike you want.  Check bikes direct (but in my exp. roadies hate BD).
