What are some good music colleges in the US?

I'd like to attend a college with a masters degree in music ed. I'd prefer that the suggestions be located on the eastern side of the US. Thanks a lot!

well I live in the Boston area and i know that one of the best music colleges in the country is berkly college in Boston. If you're into recording, Emerson cellege is the way to go.

Julliard, Eastman, Peabody Conservatory, New England Conservatory are all great music schools but I don't know anything specifically about the music ed programs in those schools except I know Peabody is a great school from that.  My last orchestra conductor just graduated with a masters from there and is already getting conducting jobs!
