Ugh, don't do Benji. I hate Benji! For Benjamin, I think the classic Ben works best. I even know a Benjamin who goes by Jamin (sort of like Jay-min) which is kind of cute but a bit weird.

I'd say Ben for Benjamin though and Jonah is already short enough. :)

I like Jonah but Benjamin is a little common.  For Jonah you could go with Joe, Jon, Jo Jo, Joey and Benjamin could be Ben or Benny.
