  1. platies they are colorful and fun to watch and hardy fish!

  2. arrowanas . 2 of em

  3. you could get some female bettas or if you go coldwater you could get a goldfish.

  4. do not get gourami, they are agressive towards each other, i had 1 dominate male and he killed all the other gourami. so i suggest you research mollies, guppies, neons, tetras or any small tropical community fish. But I highly recommend neons, guppies, and or mollies. hope your aquarium travails prevail!! Rule of thumb 1inch of fish per 1 gal of water.  i.e.: 10 one inch fish, or 5 two inch fish. etc...

  5. Guppies.  Males only if you don't want to be overrun with fry, but the males are the prettiest anyways.  You could have up to 5 in a 10 gallon.  Or combine them.  3 guppies and a dwarf gourami.

  6. Betta, there are a lot of variety, and their price also range from as cheap as $10 to $40 or more

  7. Guppies, platies, Mollies, swordtails, like a pair.

  8. I highly reccomend Dwarf Gouramis. They are not agressive, and do best in twos or threes. I have a pair of males, a red and blue, and they are very pretty and friendly with each other.
