What are some good online games for xbox 360?

i am getting live soon maybe tommorow =) and i was wandering if you can give me a listo f good online games form 1 being best online game you think ? plz help i dont want ot get a game go online and only 5 people playing it -_-

Id get Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, it has a bunch of people and it is good , trust me. It has about 200,000 at the most. Halo 3 is also amazing, i personally think its better. Halo 3 has more people. Both games have good graphics, features, and other stuff, id get both of them.

  But before you go and select my answer as best answer, look at the other answers, who knows, they could have more results.

1. Gears of War 2 (it hasnt came out yet but ive seen the prievews  on xbox live and they are awesome!
