  1. I am taking two online classes in Florida Virtual School and it's great! You can even choose your own pace...check it out, www.flvs.net

  2. Depends on what you are looking for...

I maintain a directory of "hard to find" homeschooling sites at http://www.yourstudentnews.com/resources

You can also just do a search with the keywords homeschool or home school and you will get a bunch of hits.  Lots of overlapping stuff though.

Or are you looking for an online education program? There are a bunch of online high school programs through which you can get an accredited high school diploma.  Believe it or not, there are some big name universities offering such things!

Search on Indiana University Online High School.  You can earn your high school diploma (fully accredited) through them, plus take AP and for credit college courses.

Harvard University also offers an online for college credit program for homeschoolers.  Think about that - getting your high school diploma with college credits from Harvard!  Plus, it is open enrollment - if you can pay the tuition (which is actually reasonable) and you can handle the classes you are in!

Just some thoughts.  I'll find the IU and Harvard sites and add them to my directory!

I just added the Indiana University and Harvard links to my directory!

  3. Check out the Clonlara School, it's very good.

  4. The following site might help you study up, I suggest the website:

    http://www.free-ed.net/free-ed/

I'm helping my husband get his GED, and we're using this class to prepare for it. I'm actually going to try the CLEP (College Equivalence), and am using the class as a refresher, since I've been out of school for seven years.

They have a class that is very comprehensive, starting with the most basic of concepts and working the way up from there. They also have other areas where you can just focus on a certain subject. They even have "degree studies" for health care and others.

They don't distribute degrees, but they are free classes that will greatly help you prepare for your tests and schooling. And is is all online, for you to do at your own schedule.

  5. http://www.oakmeadow.com

This is really good for homeschoolers who want to have public school standard curriculum to work on. I personally find it is the best, please check it out.

    Thank you very much.

  6. Look into K12:

You may be able to use it as a virtual public school in your state.  Or you can purchase it as an independent (Consumer Direct) user.
