My friend and I are working a game station at a bible school for preschoolers and kindergarteners. We tried bubbles, swing sets, baloons, and even duck duck goose. Most of them didn't even know how to play duck duck goose, so we're in a bit of a pickle. Please help, and thanks! :)

  1. try color matching or momorey cards. If all else fall's play some disney musice and have the kids sing along turn it in to a game , weather your stopming your feet or clapping your hands.young childern love music and bright colors

  2. Some good outdoor and indoor games for 2and 3 are just simple things like playing with a ball, playing simon says, or even building anything thats simple anough

  3. My son came home today doing the hokey pokie he's three and he seem to be very amused.

  4. Follow the leader, Simon Says.  Remember that a lot of these children may not know how to play these games.  You will need to teach by showing them how to play and keep it simple.  Have Fun!

  5. You'll have to teach them these games... remember, they only learn the games when they're in these large groups because even if they have a brother or sister, that's not enough people for them to likely have learned these types of games.  You want to teach them songs with movements, also.  London Bridge, Ring around the rosie, row row row your boat.  There are a lot of websites that will give you better ideas.

Remember, part of the fun is learning the songs

  6. they would love to play with big baloons or toys thats are colourful or the toys that can talk which are great for kids

  7. some of the best games for the little ones include:  a small obsticle course that includes a need for balance or throwing a ball, or something.  also kids that age are good at water balloon catch.  or maybe potato sack race, or some sort of race.  try going to a local preschool or day care center and see if they can help you with some ideas and maybe even loan some equipment!

  8. I'm confused. Are you working with 2 and 3 yr old toddlers or preschoolers/kindergarteners? Is it a mixed age group where you have ages 2-5?

One game that I found young children understand easily is "The Animals are Sleeping". You sing "Sleeping, sleeping the animals are sleeping." (the closest tune I can get is the Ring Around the Rosy - which, by the way, is a game they love and understand). The children all lie down on the ground. Wait a bit and then say "Wake up, lions!" and they all pretend to be lions until you start singing the song again. They all pretend to sleep and you choose to wake them up as different animals.

Do some more internet searching - there are tons of sites out there.

  9. YOU CAN GET FLASH CARDS TO PLAY WITH. YOU CAN ALSO PLAY GAMES THAT DEAL WITH THEM RECOGNIZING COLORS, NUMBERS, LETTERS, AND SHAPES. FOR EXAMPLE: ASK THEM TO FIND SOMETHING THAT'S GREEN OR IN THE SHAPE OF A CIRCLE. THIS IS SOMETHING YOU CAN DO INSIDE AND OUT SIDE. YOU CAN ALSO TRY GOING TO A CRAFT STORE AND BUY SOME STUFF FOR THEM TO MAKE THINGS LIKE FINGER PAINT. YOU CAN ASK THE PARENTS IF THEY DONT MIND: MAYBE GET WATER BALLONS OR SOMETHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH GETTING WET.

  10. I usually give memory game for my kid and she enjoys it. I'll place some colored objects and ask her to collect the same colour objects. Every time when we say for different color she will search for it and find it. And for outdoor games I'll use the pavement. I;ll ask her to jump from one square to another. A frog jump will do.

  11. if i were you i would take the kids out and just let them play tag, it's a simple game and it gets them tired. Also you could have them do little races and who ever wins gets some kind of little prize. i don't know these are only a few suggestions.
