I'm looking for places to eat breakfast (maybe brunch), lunch, and dinner. Also some nice places to have a light snack. For hotels four or five star would be nice. (Please include rates per person if possible)

  1. any four or five stars hotel in Copacabana will serve u that, try luxur regente

  2. How about renting an apartment it is better and gives you  more freedom.   Try     riorentals4less.com...........

  3. Five stars, let me see.... Copacabana Palace (very famous) and Hotel Glória. To eat Outblack in Barra da Tijuca.

  4. I've been twice to Rio. First I stayed in Sheraton Leblon (5 stars) which was superb, albeit a bit far from the rest of town and could'n t walk to places, had to get a cab. But Sheraton Leblon has it's own beach and it's terrific as an hotel, I would recommend it. The second time it was New Year's Eve and I stayed at Praia Ipanema (4 stars) , located in the middle of Ipanema but very close to Leblon. I walked every day all along Rio (mostly Ipanema and Leblon) and it was very central and not so expensive.

About eating, there are thousands of places so I just recommend you to walk around and see where the people are! Every time I go I try new restaurants and I've never been disappointed.

  5. Leblon

Stay in the area, Rio Flat Service is a nice hotel/apartment, with kitchen etc, good priced, great location.

To name restaurants is hard, there are too many.

For lunch check CELEIRO on Rua Dias Ferreira.

    nice veggie/natural/salad sort of place.

Also Gula Gula, they had them in Ipanema, Leblon and some other locations.

Protel is the company who runs the Rio Flat Service,

they have other hotels/apartment around town.
