What are some good places to see between Cancun and Cozumel?

Well, between Cancun and Cozumel, there is nothing but water. But the most common way to get to Cozumel from Cancun or vise versa is by ferry either from Puerto Morelos or Playa del Carmen.

If it were me, I'd leave from PDC, the ferries are more frequent and PDC has lots of shopping and restaurants. So I'd say PDC should top your list of good places.
