I will be traveling to Germany this summer with my younger siblings, a 14 year old boy and an 8 year old girl. What kinds of things would be entertaining for all of us, including my dad?

Anything is appriciated! :-)

  3. Phantasialand and Movie Park!

  4. They have really nice public pools and some are heated and you can usually get in at a good price.

  6. a great place to go with kids is the "Deutsches Museum" in Munich. Its a tehcnical museum, where kids can push buttons to start experiments or do some mathematical puzzles.

Another fun place is Legoland. You probably know the Lego building stones for kids to play. In Legoland they have made castles, airplanes, ships. etc from those Lego stones.

There are several Legoland across Germany.

Trips Drill, or Rust or some entertainment parks, compared to Disneyland, but much smaller.

You'll find plenty of things to do with your kids.

  7. Fantasialand is in Bruehl

but I would suggest Berlin as you learn a lot about how the wall fell and there are loads of interesting things to do for people of all age

  8. Depending on where in Germany you go but I just went with my boyfriend for Easter he has a 7 year old daughter that lives there. Bike riding is very big over there they have excellent trails everywhere. Just about every hotel rents them too. We would ride around and see the towns in a different way and stop for dinner. The ice cream shops are also cool! They have some huge ice cream dishes made with fruit! The McDonalds restaurants are different from the USA too, something else to satisfy all ages. They do have some amusement parks that I saw fliers for in Frankfurt.  There are also public swimming pools in most towns that are great for a day just to relax and have fun especially if it rains! Actual tourist attractions depend on what the kids like, they do have the castles and there is the Grimm Brothers attractions like the city of their birth and a walking tour of the town they lived in. Grimm Brothers fairy tales are known everywhere so that may interest your whole family. Good Luck and have Fun!
