  1. The best answer is to visit the www.azbilliards.com forums.  Log in and get educated.

  2. Line all 15 balls up in a row..try to sink them in the same pocket by use of speed and English.  You'll have to be able to draw the ball as well as take it right and left and not get out of position too badly.  Play a full game of 8-ball against yourself considering safeties as well as position.  Practice practice, practice and remember you only have to hit a ball hard enough to reach the pocket .  One of the biggest shortcomings is shooting too hard unless you need to move the cue a distance.  The harder you shoot you take some of the juice off the cue and defeat your purpose.  Try for angles rather than having to use English.  Use the natural path of the cue by realizing where it will go naturally after it strikes and object ball.

  3. just play by yourself with all 15 balls and practice on all the types of shots and angles that your not good at

  4. 90% of improving at pool is repetition.  Keep working on shots until you're comfortable playing them.

In regards to English, stay away from it unless absolutely necessary, or unless the object ball is so far in a pocket that it's unmissable.  Pretty much any position for the whiteball can be accomplished using pace, or minor topspin or draw.

  5. try the three six nine ball drill rack the balls up using only three balls break and if you do not have a shot on the one take the cue ball in hand run out when you can do this six times in a row move on to six balls doing the same thing then move on to nine balls when you can run six racks of nine ball in a row look for the big tourments and be the champ good luck
