My parents have been such a great help. I would love to give them something as a thank you for all they have done, with out spending a ton of money. Any suggestions?

  1. never get divorced. never ask them for money down the road. have children. those are the best presents you can give your parents.

  2. how about a gift certificate to a nice restuarant

  3. I like the ideas the previous people have posted. A "date night" is always appreciated, although, that can get pricey because nice meals are usually upwards of $50-$70 for two people. You could find out their favorite restaurant and get them a gift certificate for what you can afford.

If your parents have done a lot to help with the wedding, I would consider splurging a little on a nice gift for them. Maybe get them a picnic basket and a gift certificate to a cute little gourmet foods shop so they can fill it up with snacks to bring for a picnic.

The personal chef idea is awesome. LOVE that idea!

You could also buy them a room at a B&B for the night after your wedding and include a "breakfast in bed" with it. Tell them their second honeymoon is on you.

But you know what? parents are not that hard to please. Even if you just got them a nice picture frame engraved with your wedding date or names, they would love it. Are you getting them a parent's album through your photographer or the rights to your images to reproduce? If you can, make them your own album of wedding photos online at Walgreens.com. That's what we're doing (we paid extra to have our images on a CD for us to print whenever we want), and the albums are cheap, high-quality and you can do whatever you want (lots of layout options). Parents would LOVE that.

  4. we went to things remembered and got photo albums for all our parents and filled them with the pictures they wanted from the photographer.  it was less than $50 for each set of parents.

  5. We are engraving gold bands. They are thin and cheap they will symbolize as I leave my mother and cling to my husband or wife my love for you won't change and is never ending like the ring!

  6. digital picture frame w/ a memory card of select pictures starting with you as a baby and growing up, and add some wedding ones after.

Do the same for your fiance. Make sure to add some pics in there of yourself with your parents/family, special moments.

  7. If you are looking for something more sentimental, I think personalized handkerchiefs are perfect. You can search them online and find tons of sites. Then personalize them with something from you, rather than just "Mom" and the wedding date. Like, for my mom I would put "My Mom, My Best Friend" or to my dad, "The First Man I Ever Loved". Be creative and make it personal for them from you. The average prices I saw were about $20.00. Then give it to them before the wedding so they can put the hankie to good use during the ceremony!

  8. we gave my parents a personal chef for a night and we are going to have my little bro and sister spend the night at our house. we may even take the dog! It gives them some alone time and they really appreciate it.
