What are some good products to make your own bio fuel please?

Like for example: peanut oil, canola oil, veggie oil, etc. I don't drive but I want to make my own gas. I want to be safe for environment. Thanks for y'all help.

There is nothing safer than regular old gasoline, that's why we use it. Of course, I am biased, I think it is the height of arrogancy for people to burn food products while the price of food in third world countries is climbing and more starvation occurs.

Any sort of vegetable oil like Canola, hemp, olive etc is good for making bio-diesel. However, you can not just use straight vegetable oil to run a motor because of the amount of glycerin in that oil, which would gum up your engine. To extract it:

1) Heat the vegetable oil to 50'C.

2)Mix in methanol (at a ratio of 5 units oil to 1 unit methanol) that has been premixed with 5 grams of lye per every 1 liter of methanol.

3) Turn of Heat.

4) Stir the methanol-lye mix into the vegetable oil for ten minutes.

5) Let the biodiesel set for 20 minutes.

6) Extract the top portion, the lighter coloured part, as that is your biodiesel and dispose of the bottom part, the glycerin.

If you want to make biodiesel in bulk, talk with the manager of a local fast food restaurant. Most would be happy to give you their waste oil. You can use this as well, just make sure you filter it out as it may have solids in it.

First off, to try to make biodiesel at home is dangerouse, it isn't like making brownies.  The chemicals can kill and the risk of fire is high.

Next, you can not make it at as cheap as you can buy it.

It anyone tries to sell you an HHO or hydrogen booster, call the FTC and report them.  People are going to prison over this fraudulant stuff.

While the oils that you listed would be good for Bio-Diesel, the bio fuel replacement for gasoline is alcohol, depending on where you live there are a lot of not food items that can be turned into Alcohol through the process of distillation, one of the new ones is pond scum.

or you could get discarded fruits or vegetables from local growers.
