  1. Most children that age love activities that stimulate their senses--anything squishy or wet or that has a texture. You could make play dough or flubber (a glue/borax mixture), and there are great websites with recipes for these--and it's great to involve kids in making these things. An important thing to remember is that for toddlers, everything they do is "process" oriented instead of "product" oriented. In other words, it doesn't matter how a project turns out--it only matters that they enjoy doing it. You can create a project out of just about any materials you can find!

  2. finger painting, molding clay, reading books, I think just about whatever the young wants to do, that's when you ask him? You'd be surprised what he could come with, or make day to be yours & his, take him McDonald's get both of you happy Meals, play on the toy, come home watch "HAPPY FEET", calm down and rest, giggle, laugh, its a good movie, and your little one may not make thru happy Feet!

  3. One idea that i like using is read a favourite book, a good one is "someone bigger" by Johnathan Emmet (might not be spelt right.)

Anyway use the book and make all the characters with the child's help( I always trace over the original picture this make it easy and to scale) colour, cut out & laminate them and use them as props for the story.

You will be amazed how the children will act out the story with the props . Another easy one is the three little pigs not too many characters, honestly with a little bit of imagination you can have a great time AND the children will learn to enjoy books which is always a bonus, when the are too young to actually read.

  4. you could tech them how to make a card

  5. Anything messy!
