Ask about whether students tend to be more involved in extracurriculars (clubs, sports, etc.) or "socializing" (partying), because that really makes a HUGE difference in the atmosphere of a school, no matter which you prefer.

What's the retention rate like, what are some fun things to do around campus. If you are thinking about taking a car, ask how much parking is. Ask about safety, average class size, how hard it is to get the classes you need, meal plans, the gym and if there is a cost to use it or the extra classes.
