  4. Ok, I'm from St. Louis but now live in AL. Let me tell you some places that you MUST go to while you are there!!

    1) Cunetto's (On Southwest Ave. on the hill) You HAVE to go here...seriously...you have to!

    2) Zia's (on the hill, too)

    3) If you're going with a girlfriend/wife and want to splurge a bit, go to Top of the Riverfront. It's on the top floor of The Millennium hotel and it's FABULOUS! Dinner and drinks will cost about $100.

    4) Morton's Steakhouse is great

    5) Sushi lover?? Miso is amazing (in Clayton)

    6) Copia Urban Winery (on Washington Ave. downtown) is fabulous!

    Those are my favorites!

  5. fast eddies just over bridge in alton il ruths crist steak

  6. i live around clayton and University city and the best restaurants i go to are

pf changs- across from the gallaria

california pizza kitchen- in the gallaria

    maggianos- across from the gallaria

    blueberry hill- the loop

  7. Ted Drewes. It's not food, but frozen custard. You have to go there when you're in town. You won't regret it!

  8. Sage in Soulard, Revival at 39th and Chouteau (former site of King Louies).

I agree with the person who said Copia but unfortunately it is currently closed (rebuilding from a fire during the winter).

And, my one and only visit to Cunetto's was horrible so it definitely would not make my list - instead I would suggest either Gian-Tony's or Bartolino's Osteria.

Broadway Oyster Bar is also a fun and funky place to eat and drink especially before of after a Cards game.

  9. You would like Cunettos.

    Buschs Grove is closed down.

  10. It depends on where you are going and what kind of food you prefer. There are so many great places to eat in St. Louis, it's difficult to know where to begin and end.

If you're going to the ballpark (GO CARDINALS!!!!) and want to stay downtown, Mike Shannon's (at 620 market street just two blocks north of the stadium) is an excellent choice.

    Great steaks and seafood.

If you're into Italian food and are willing to travel a little bit, you'd want to go to the area we call "The Hill". If you take hwy 64 west, you want to get off on Hampton and head south (do not take the Forest Park exit). Keep going down Hampton going under the I-44 overpass. and you're near the hill.

"The Hill" is a little odd, cuz you really have to know it to know your way around it, otherwise, it's almost like being in a maze.

But my personal favorite Italian place on the Hill is call "Cunetto's". you can google the address at 5453 Magnolia Ave, St Louis, MO 63139.

Hope that gives you a couple of ideas.

  11. 1111 Mississippi

    Vin de Set

    Pomme

    Busch's Grove

    PF Chang's

    Sydney Street Cafe

    Charlie Gitto's

    Favazza's

    Jilly's Cupcake Bar

    India's Rasoi

  12. For Italian go to Cunetto's on the hill or villa roma in union square station.  also at union square  is Boston's seafood.  For steaks it's Mike Shannon's and you'll get to meet some of the players.
