  1. it depends on what you are lookin for some low key places are in the loop and a eucleuid<--mispelled )  But if you want elegance and good food that is pricey then go to Kemoull's  its downtown Best pasta in my opinion .

Tony's is good one the one on the hill is good

Any place on the hill is good

Faust'S is Great very elegant be sure to dress nice for this one it is inside of the Adams Mark hotel.

  2. Yes, anything on the Hill - but be prepared for a long wait at Cunetto's.  Favazza's is good, too, in the mid-price range.

In the Soulard area there is 1111 Mississippi and Vin de Set - both really good.

In Clayton, try Cafe Napoli or Pomme (Pomme is pricey).

  3. yeah

  4. Here you go:

    Best Restaurants in St Louis:

  5. Revival (at Chouteau and 39th)

    Modesto's (on The Hill)

Broadway Oyster Bar (south of the stadium on Broadway)

Atomci Cowboy, Newstead Tower Public House and Five (all in The Grove area)

Fraziers and Sage (both near the brewery)

  6. Anywhere on the Hill.  You could even go to an Italian grocer or salumeria and get the makings of a picnic.  MO Bakery is unbelievable when it comes to Italian cookies.  Rigazzi's cheap and large portions.

Laclede's Landing is for a younger crowd than I would have, but the young'ns shore do like it.  The President Casino is down there too.

Harrah's and Ameristar have lots of places to eat of varying quality and price.

Hodak's Fried Chicken.  None better.  And cheap.

Gallaghers in Waterloo IL is very highly recommended.  They have a fried chicken family style dinner on Sunday that's wonderful.

Soulard is a very old neighborhood, just south of Anheuser Busch on Broadway, with something to interest and amuse everyone.  You can hear any kind of music you like there.  Over here there are Irish pipers and drummers and over there you'll hear a guy doing every song Neil Young ever sang.  Lots of garden restaurants if it's not too hot or raining.

Penney's on Reavis Barracks Road and Union Road right off I-55 South.  The biggest servings you've ever seen and very cheap.  How about a 20 oz pork steak for about $13, including two sides.  Yahoo.  26 ounces of chicken or pork kabobs.

Tuckers for Steaks and Pork Chops, on Union and Lindbergh, next exit south on I-55.

Chesterfield, Webster and Kirkwood are all full of individual restaurants, not chains.  You'll be happy with almost any of them.

  7. Try anywhere on The Hill (Pestalozzi Street and surrounding area). It's where all of the Italian immigrants settled in St. Louis. They have PHENOMENAL restaurants there. Giovanni's,  Cunetto House of Pasta, Gian-Tony's, Johnny Gitto's, Zia's, and Rigazzi's are some of my favorites.

Hodak's (on Gravois) is an AMAZING place for fried chicken. They're known for their amazing fried chicken and fries meal.

Imo's pizza -- they're everywhere. It's the traditional St. Louis pizza.

And while it may not be a 'restaurant', Ted Drewes is a MUST DO in St. Louis. Their frozen custard and concretes are to die for. My personal favorite is the Fox treat. Seriously. Phenomenal.

Also, anywhere in The Loop. They have great restaurants there. It's a very chic and eclectic little part of the city.

  8. Any of the restaurants in Laclede's Landing - the historical area down on the riverfront

  9. Bamboo Bistro downtown is REALLY good.  Hammerstone's in Soulard is good.  Pretty much anywhere you go in Soulard or downtown has great food.
