What are some good running shoes that arent to expensive?

i wanna start running 4 miles a day preferable indoors on a tredmill, i kno its bad to run on them but its to hot outside!!!so what are some durable shoes?

Listen to the guy answered before me. I totally agree with what he said. You might be able to find some cheap shoe that feels good when tried on, but it will either won't last long or you will discover they are not really comfortable in the long term (After you have run some miles in them). So, spend your money wisely and get the right shoe the first time.

i dont blame you for wanting to run indoors! my family are all runners.

the best running shoes are

1) Mizuno- this shoes are very durable... i mean as a 7th grader running in the low 6 minutes! these r great shoes

Running on a treadmill indoors is not bad to run on, it just won't condition ("harden") your legs for running on sidewalks or streets.  However, the transition to outdoor surfaces isn't too hard, so once you want to, you'll be able to do it and be comfortable in a week.

Hopefully running on a treadmill won't be boring to you!  Some people find listening to music or watching tv to be distracting enough.

Good, durable running shoes do vary in cost, from $65 on up.   However, the lowest cost shoes can end up being the most expensive shoes you can buy.  The number one reason for running injuries is poorly fitting or run-down shoes.

You don't want that!

So, go to a running specialty store.  You will find clerks there that are more knowledgeable than the average you would find in a general sports store.  If they can do a dynamic gait analysis, using a treadmill, ask for that.  Tell them your needs.  They should be able to recommend a few models that match YOUR running needs.

P.S., I personally use Asics 1120's - good support, not too cushiony.  I was even able to find a few pairs from a previous model year on sale for a significant discount.  These are shoes that work for ME.  You need to get shoes that work for YOU.
