What are some good scenarios to base a short story?

I am 13 working on my portfolio, short story and I am desperate for a senario, because as of now, i am blank, and just clueless as to what i am gunna base it on! I thank you so very much if you could just plz provide sum scenarios for me! :)

I was gonna say something between personificating dogs(dogs talking to each other thinking that they are humns) or some little kids exploring the galaxy one treehouse at a time =D
