I need some science fair ideas. Some examples (that I can't use) are: Which stain remover works best? Do boys or girls have better reflexes? Is laughing contagious? Does Aspirin affect the longevity of cut flowers?

I need something that is sort of easy. And also, I'd rather not involve bacteria or other elaborate scientific tools.

  1. how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop (I knew a guy who did this one a couple of years back).

  2. does the ped egg work? science that.

  3. Stain remover projects are over rated (it's just not a good idea). Find something that's more intellectual like in the study of psychology or art interpretation. One example of a project that you could do is  the diffusion of responsibility theory. It has been a very interesting study in which you can easily manipulate. Good luck!

  4. Taking Fingerprints is easy and fun.

        *  Does race influence fingerprints?

        * Do members of the same family have similar fingerprints?

        * Do identical twins have similar fingerprints?

        * Is a person’s fingerprint pattern related to their toeprint pattern?

  5. At Hastings or Barnes and Nobles, there is a book call 365 science ideas and projects.  It is full of ideas and is a lot of fun.  I use it for science experiments for my kids when we home-school.One possible idea is to test how soil quality affects plant growth.  You can use sandy soil, compost, rocky soil, potting soil, and regular dirt. Good luck and have fun learning.

  6. For my biology project, I did a study on whether caffeine affected blood pressure in humans. It is easy, all you really need is a blood pressure monitor and a survey to ask about the amount of coffee consumed.
