  1. element is pretty good for a beginner. that's what i used when i first started. it really depends on how tall you are though.

  2. If you are looking for shoes i would go with adio, element, globes. a good site to look agt to get some nice affordable gear would be www.ccs.com

  3. dc shoes are good and stylish.  mystery decks are the best.  Independent trucks-the kostons or reynolds.  powell bones sts wheels.  powell 6-ball or ceramic bearings.  the ceramics are pricey, but the 6-ball are worth the price 100%.

  4. well if you are planning to do tricks you will want a decent setup  which would go like this

deck: baker, flip, girl, habitat, element

for the deck you will want to look at the width of the board depending on the size of your feet ask the guy at the store who is helping you what size would be good for you.

truck: independents and royals are good but if you want cheap ones that aren't that good go for destructo trucks.

wheels: momentum's, chocolate, spitfire are the more durable brands they should last you longer and depending on what you are doing like  for street skating get 51-53's if you are doing vert you will get vert wheels which are anything for 70-85.

bearing: for beginner bearing any brand is ok and you will pprobablywant abec 3's that is the slowest speed which allot of people go as long as you can push you will still get speed.

hope i helped and good luck with the sk8ing.

  5. plan b and girl
