What are some good ski resorts near San Francisco?

Could someone please tell me what some good ski resorts within a days driving distance from San Fransisco, California are?

Get a map of all of the ski resorts in California and Nevada, Lake Tahoe has several that are great, there are several others in that region, but not all can be reached in a day's drive during the winter.  My home area is 65 miles from my home on an all weather 6 lane highway that took 2 days to reach when the roads were bad this season.

All of the resorts in Reno/Tahoe are incredible. Mt. Rose, Northstar(personal favorite), Squaw Valley(great for all skill levels), Homewood, Kirkwood, Alpine Meadows, Diamond Peak, Sugar Bowl, Boreal, and of course Mammoth :)

Squaw Valley, Northstar at Tahoe, Mt.Rose  All in the Tahoe area. Northstar is the best, Mt.Rose for newbies.

Lake tahoe is about 4-6 hrs from San Francisco and there are alot of ski resorts in that area. My favorite ones are Sugar Bowl, Sierra at Tahoe and kirkwood. There is also Squaw Valley resort which i think its pretty good, Heavenly (very big and lots of runs and its good too) Northstar at Tahoe (i havent been there yet) Mt. Rose,  and Alpine Meadows (havent been there either)  You can probably get to Lake Tahoe in about 3-4 hrs if there is no traffic.

there are also one day ski trips (you depart early morning and leave the ski resort in the afternoon) I recommend Bay Area Ski Bus and NACski is another option. I like Bay Area Ski Bus better because they give you snacks on the way up and they will stop for dinner on the way down. NACski doesnt stop and they dont give out some food.
