Hi everyone! Just after some suggestions for good songs to put over wedding footage for a DVD. Some will be for the 'before' stuff, like the bride getting ready, some will be for the actual ceremony and reception, and some will be photos, dancing, etc.

So some fast and some slow.

Thanks!!

  1. Holy Cow there are TONS! My faves:

    Nat King Cole: Unforgettable

Frank Sinatra: The way you look tonight

    Dixiecups: Chapel of love

The five Satins: To the Aisle

Lloyd Price: I'm gonna get married

    The platters: With this ring

The Dreamlovers: When we get married (love this song!!!)

Beach Boys: Wouldn't it be nice

There is no shortage of love songs. Go for Josh groban if you want something very tame and soft and then in parts where you want more upbeat music, my suggestions work great (with the exception of the first 2, which are softer slow songs).

I once saw a wedding video that had only pachabel's canon in D as the song and it was lovely!

  2. "Helpless" Crosby Stills and Nash

  3. How about a song that reminds you of your fiance. What more special song to play than 'your song?'

On a dvd that we made with pictures and things, we chose:

Truly, Madly, Deeply by Savage Garden.

My Best Friend by Tim McGraw

    And

'When you say nothing at all' by that one country female singer. Can't remember her name. lol.

Good luck though. Hope this helped at least somewhat.

  4. A great song I HOPE you use, (SO romantic) is "Louis Armstrong's: A kiss to build a dream on." Also anything by Frank Sinatra. If you want some "less generic" wedding songs, may I suggest "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole (sp?) it is not what you think a very happy low key song with a great little beat to it. Also I am a fan of Patsy Cline's "Crazy". Let me know what you decide! Good luck!!

  5. Perfect by Jon McLaughlin

A Song You Might Hear at a Wedding by Jon McLaughlin

Bigger Than Us by Andy Davis

    Question by Old 97s

The Way You Look Tonight - I don't remember who this is by

I Do by 98 Degrees- fits, even though it is an old boy band and overplayed song
