What are some good stocks to invest?

Here are some of the stocks i was planning to invest in:

I was actually thinking of doing AMD as well although they are doing bad but their stock has potential to go up again and at 6 dollars a share, buying a couple wont hurt.

I know energy is supposedly the next big thing in the investing world and a great sector to be in. what do you think? Im starting out 10,000 and will diversify it within these companies. your thoughts? something to add? take off?

Try looking at these 2 small caps that have been doing great...great if you are a long term holder....BCPC and AAON.And they both pay dividends.Good Luck.

xom,ge are both low priced good stock's lmt is ok and they all pay dividend's

Check out the Motley Fool site at fool.com.  They have some good ideas and strategies.  Hidden Gems and Income based stocks are some good lists.  CTRP and NUAN are great.

V has great potential...CSCO, the same...and right now, a " refiner like WNR is better than the " big oils" you've chosen.

( Energy is NOT the NEXT big thing...it has been BIG for four years ... you could look to " alternative" if you're looking for the NEXT big thing )

...and by all means get into materials/ metals somewhere ( stock or ETF )

do not over diversify you will become your own mutual fund

with 10,000 you should not own more than 3 or 4 good stocks.

50% of a stocks move depends on what sector its in. pick

stocks in a good sector and pick the best of bread in those

sectors regardless of the price of the stock.
