What are some good store credit cards?

Doesn't have to be a visa,or master card and whatnot. Just a cute store that offers a card. I've already got Macys,Dillards,and Victorias Secerts under my belt...but WHAT ELES!?

Why do you want a store card? They are bad on your credit score and they have limited purchase power.

Banana Republic's Luxe card is a visa card and it has discounts at Banana, Gap, and Old Navy... If you are silly enough to ruin your credit for another store card, pick the Banana Luxe card (you get free online shipping and free alterations)

pay cash. Every time you take out a new store card, or even submit the form, it takes the credit score down at least 10 pts.

Can it be used as a credit card?

Though many store cards are restricted for usage in particular set of stores, some store cards can be converted to full credit cards. Then these cards can be used in other places, just like a normal credit card. However, the interest rate mostly remains same, meaning you are paying much more than normal to enjoy your credit facilities.

Should you go for it?

Though store cards are very expensive and are not worth it for many, you can use them to your advantage if you use it properly. If you have problems getting a regular card, then with a store card, you can build your credit history. Besides if you prefer shopping in a particular shop, then getting a store card and paying off the entire balance every month will let you enjoy the benefits of a store card without paying any interests.

Those cards are trouble. Stay away from them. If you can't afford to pay cash, then you don't need to be shopping.

Just a thought - its not a great idea to open up too many credit card accounts. Its an even worse idea to close them.
