  1. i used to do cheer, and the splits are probably the best thing you can do. it impresses everyone at tryouts. also, practice your jumps a lot. it'll help you with your flexibility. plus, they really stress jumps in cheer. also, practice some tumbling. do bridges and try to work up to doing a cartwheel or a roundoff.

  2. Everything you need to know about cheering (exercises and stretches, motions, jumps, cheers, dancing, stunts, and tumbling) can be found here: http://aescougarcheer.com/Cheer101/basic...

For the splits all you can do is work on them several times a day. Make sure you warm up really good first or else you could either hurt yourself or just not really accomplish very much with your stretching.  There are videos of people teaching you how to stretch for splits on the link above.

    Good luck!

  3. lunge splits and def. push ups. strech your arms and legs the most though

  4. sit in a straddle and go to the left, trying to touch your nose to your knee without bending your legs, hold for 20 seconds... then go to the right for 20, and then the middle.  try to push yourself and have someome push down your back when youre going to the middle, but not to the point when you are in extreme pain. also keep practicing the splits
