What are some? Not everyday stretches before practice, but some stretches that will warm me up for a sprint.

  1. well personally i dont stretch for a sprint race and i go good but im a bad example as ive just recently pulled most of the muscles in my leg

but yeah ive been told to stretch my hamstring and quads before a race and also my low, middle and upper back

i dont know how to explain some stretches so you should look up some stretches on the internet

  2. well your everyday stretches are good things to do haha believe it or not! maybe doing them a little better is in for play for basically thats what i do. i also have my friends help me stretch by me just putting one leg 90 degrees to my body and having the mpush on it. and the nswitching legs. thats basically it. try googling stretches but yeah also do some strides before like a 200 and 400 and practice your starts before each as well as the 100 because the starts are the most important aspect of the 100 and 200

  3. Definately quad and hamstring stretches, you always gotta do a little of your every day stretches but dont over do it.  I used to always do a few quick sets of high knees to get the blood flowing, and then just jump straight up and down as high as i could 4 or 5 times for the same reason. Warming up by jogging and stretching is important at the beginning of a track meet, and you should always keep your warm up pants on to keep your legs well... warm! haha  I have a tendency to concentrate on my calves because they give you the initial boost along with your quads
