  1. Peacemaking among Primates was my favorite book when I took Biological Anthropology.

  2. The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins is an interesting book about evolution from DNA to multicellular organisms and how evolution is happening on a genetic level.  It's reader-friendly and is another evolutionary theory thats not commonly taught in textbooks.

  3. I like three books on Biological Anthropology that I used as my primary textbooks in this undergraduate university course:

    1.  Introduction to Biological Anthropology by Jurmain.

    2.  Skeletons in Our Closet: An Introduction to Bioarcheology.

    3.  An Introduction to Paleoanthropology.

Bioarcheology and Paleoanthropology are both within the field of Biological Anthropology, and they are well worth looking into as well.

Biological Anthropology includes other fields of study, such as Medical Anthropology, Dental Anthropology (Odontology), Osteology, Forensic Anthropology, and Primatology.
