What are some good surfshops that you like/buy from? I'm from Northern California?

Just wondering, am starting up surfing again this summer as I am unemployed, not that that makes any difference, and have a **** load of time on my hands now to go do something that I really enjoy.

Where should I buy my surfboard from? I have surfed in the past but haven't surfed in a while. I'm going to take lessons again before I go but what about down the line?
