  1. i think you just need to love children and hold them when they cry feed them when they are hungry and change them when they are wet!

  2. A crying baby signifies that the baby is either hungry or needs a new diaper.  If you have taken care of those two needs and the baby is still crying, then the baby wants to be held.  Often times baby's will also cry when they get tired.  The don't understand that they feel fatigue because they need to rest, they just know they don't feel right so they cry.  Pick the baby up, hold him to your chest and let his little head rest on your shoulder.  Gently pat his back as you rock him softly side to side as if you're dancing to Etta James' "At Last."  He'll be asleep in no time.

  3. The most important: Make sure you have the phone numbers of both parents, work and cell numbers of the parents, grandparents or their trusted friend or relative. In addition, have them get notes authorized by them for you to sign for treatment if the baby becomes ill and the parents cannot get there fast enough.

Ask them what position the baby is to sleep. right now on the back is recommended.  What are the general times that the baby has a bottle as most parents try to have them on some kind of schedule. Make sure you burp after each ounce. change diapers frequently to avoid rashes.

Most babies want to be carried when fussy.Rubbing their back sometimes helps. Always reinforce the babies head. Never do anything when frustrated. If you become overwhelmed for a short time, put the baby down. If an emergency ever arises and you need to put the baby down, put it on the floor. No one has ever fallen off of a floor.

Ask questions Ask if you can observe when mom is there for an afternoon so you can actually see how she does things and learn the routine. Good luck. I'm sure you will do wonderfully.

  4. well, there's actually alot and I am sure the parents will fill you in on most of that before they leave their baby with you. As far as if its craying and fussy, usually holding it and walking the floor wiht it works everytime. I would ask the parents anything you're not sure about.

  5. You should no CPR, the emerginceys numbers, where to reach the parents, if the child has any problems needs medicane, allgerys, allgeric to anything. it depends on the baby. when my children where that old holding them singing to them, and rocking with them helped them stop crying alot. be happy when you babysit. take the baby on walks with a stroller that helps alot of fussy babys. if you need help do not be afriad to call for help.

  6. keep good hold of their head

they cry alot, so don't worry about everything

pat them on the bottom while you're rocking them, and it calms

    a warm blanket helps

just don't worry too much! you'll be fine
