What are some good things for travelers to Germany, to know?

Lets say an American is traveling to Germany, for a vacation/visit. What are good things to know, in order to stay out of trouble? Where are some places to stay away from? What are some weird laws in Germany, if any?

DO NOT drink and drive, or blow through a stop light in Germany.  Their DUI limit is even lower than the U.S., and they use cameras at stop lights to photograph offenders.  

If you want to blend in anywhere in Europe, wear dark clothing without patterns, dress like you were going to a funeral and don't, whatever you do, wear sneakers and white socks.  Nothing says "Tourist" more than sneakers.  Germans dress up all the time.
