  1. There's a fantastic zoo in La Casa de Campo, if he likes animals... it has a zoo, aquarium, delphinarium and aviarium

There is also another animal park to the east of Madrid ( forget what it is called) It is just outside of Madrid on the N-II road (Road to Zaragoza).

There is a theme park:"Warner Bros. Park" in San Martín de la Vega, also just south east of Madrid.

There is El Parque del Retiro with a small lake in the centre where you can have a boat ride...

There are museums and monuments galore to visit, if you enjoy that type of thing. There are also several palaces... The Palacio Real in Madrid, El Escorial just north of the city, Aranjuez a half hours drive south...and several other smaller ones... There are also beautiful churches..

    Take your pick...

And enjoy your stay in Madrid...It's a beautiful city!

  2. Just for kids!

Be sure to take them to Retiro park as it is both free and walking around will hopefully tire them out and give you the rest you need!!!

  3. VISIT REAL MADRID: Children under 14 can take this tour of Real Madrid's stadium at reduced rates. The tour includes a panoramic view of the stadium and visit to the President's Box, dressing room, players' tunnel, the benches and coaching area, the pitch itself, the Trophy Room and the official Real Madrid shop.

MADRID'S ZOO: Madrid's zoo is located in the Casa de Campo (Metro Casa de Campo) and is considered one of the best in Europe. It includes more than 3000 animals, an aquarium, a performing dolphin show and an aviary. Areas such as the "Pequeña Granja (Small Farm) allow city-dwelling kids close contact with domestic and semi-domestic farm animals during a pedalogical visit interesting for children and adults alike. The zoo has plenty of snack-bars and restaurants to allow you to spend all day there if necessary.

  4. Check out two websites:

    http://www.spanish-property-for-sale.tv

Loads of information about Spain.  Have a great holiday.

  5. The zoo-aquarium and "parque de atracciones" (amusement park) are close by underground. Warner Bros Park is half an hour away by train. You can get discounts for these places at Familycheck (only in spanish). In "El Retiro" park there are usually street puppet shows for kids (note that they would be only in Spanish).

  6. The Warner Park
