i think coffee works with everything-thats why it is such a popular drink. you can have coffee with a meal, or with desert, or with a snack-its all good. i guess the best things are cinnamon buns and donuts and coffee cakes, that's why all the donut shops serve a lot of coffee.

I know most answers will be sweet things, but something savory with black coffee is the best.  Like egg casseroles, bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon.  I'll drink black coffee with anything as long as it isn't sweet.
