What are some good things to take on a trip?

what are some good things to take on a trip we are driving to lakeland florida and back i live in kennett missouri. and i have 2 little boys we will be gone for 2 days. i have some movies and a duel screen dvd player in my van. what are some good food and drink stuff to take that does not have to be refrigerated just something i can throw in the van and go.. of course we will stop some where to get some food. but i have a 2yr old and a 3yr old and looking for any help possible.. this is are first time travailing since i was pregnant with my first son

If they have a gameboy, take that along and maybe get some new games for it to keep them interested.

Etch-a-Sketch or something similar.

An iPod or MP3 player.

20q (20 questions, really fun game).

Books.

Paper & markers/crayons to draw.

Anything interactive that will keep them entertained.

For food, you can take some fruit like apples which are healthy, and don't need to be cold to taste good!

Also, crackers, bananas, or something like cookies are good. Anything that you could keep in a cupboard, really.

If you have a cooler, you could put some ice in it, and use that to keep your drinks cold, but if not, water isn't that bad warm, or juice.
