What is a good topic to do for European History projectc?

There is actually no limit, we can do pretty much anything... but I don't have any good ideas...

for example he talked about

we can read a book such as "Utopia" or "the Wealth of Nations" and do a book report

music video

we can paint something in styles such as Baroque, Impressionism, Renaissance art...

board game

children books...

political cartoons

current world events/issues

I am lacking ideas, we have three weeks to work on this and he expects it to be really high level .... like if we paint, we should be like expert painters...

so pretty much it can be anything

I just don't have a very good idea, it doesn't have to relate to history...

please help :) thank you !!!

  1. I'd say whatever you're good at is the best bet. Or whatever you feel comfortable doing. That's just an easy way to get an idea of what you want to do for your project. Sorry if this wasnt much help but i tried. =)

  2. well, one of the coolest times in history in my opinion in Europe was the Victorian age in Paris during the times of the Impressionists, they were very revolutionary: think of the movie Moulin Rouge, maybe you could choose that period to do specifically in Paris so it would narrow the scope of Europe and there are TONS of books and paintings and music about this time period: look up Toulouse Lautrec, Le Golue (she was a real can-can girl who worked at the Moulin Rouge and knew Toulouse) and  Bar Absinthe.

It would be cool if you created something like a scrapbook as though you were living during that time, it would allow you to do a sort of timeline of events and use found pictures you could print from online from that time, you could re-create admission tickets for gallery exhibitions, and world fairs...and add in your own writings as though you were living at that time.

You could touch on several pertinent points of interests for a historian for example-socially: women were becoming more liberated, social roles were coming into question/politically: these were the Bohemians the worlds first hippies! a very political time for social change/the arts: this was the age and the place that gave birth to the Impressionist movement, which led to art deco, cubism, the modernist movement, post modernism, big stuff!/Economically there were the rich, the poor, the new rich, and the beourgoise, plus using molded steel became a big deal, it was why the Eiffel tower was created- lots of stuff to talk about there.  ..well, I think it would be cool. And it would take off some of the pressure of having to paint like a master artist... have fun! :)

  3. I'm a big art fan... even though i can't actually paint or draw I suggest pick a Renaissance pic you like and do an abstract versan of it... modify it... you could do an IT art project actually... copy paste the pic onto i think its called yeh no forgot what the program is called but a program were you can edit pitures, add effects, wash outs, distort the picture... now im rambeling but theres my idea. modify a Renaissance picture. have fun. Rock Hard

  4. paint something beautiful from barcelona

  5. Eli: I wish you'd've done this for me when I was a kid.

Richie: But you didn't have a drug problem then.

Eli: Yeah, but it still would've meant a lot to me.
