What are some good travel toys?

Question

What are some good travel toys for an airplane with 3 kids. One 3 year old girl, 9 year old boy and 11 year old girl.

oh, and the airplane ride is about 6 hours[two different flights, 1st one 1 hr and the other is 5 hrs.

for the little girl i would give her two dollies and for the boy give him cars and for the girl she should bring books or color.

Preferrably something on the quiet side. You do not want to p**s all the other passengers in the plane off. Get a portable DVD player with some of the older kids favorite movies, try to get one with dual earphone jacks, maybe an MP3 player and a portable game system, like a nintendo DS. The young one will be a bit tougher to keep occupied for that long of a plane trip. Bring her favorite stuffed animal, few books, and the less noisy toys for her to play with. Remember to bring stuff your kids can chew on to minimize their ears popping.

*you can make some puzzles like the ones i listed at www.puzzlemaker.com just choose a puzzle and title and list the words that you have to find!! i do it all the time!

*you can bring a portable travel dvd player, and thats nice to keep them busy! also don't forget the dvds!

For the three year old girl I would bring say like a coloring book,a doll,and some books.For the nine year old boy i would have him bring say like a nintendo ds.or something like a electrical toy.I know a lot of boys who like electronics.Then for the eleven year old girl i would have her bring an ipod and some books.

3 yr. old, coloring books, barbies, childrens books with pics.

9 yr. old.  Handheld video games, books, ipod.

11 yr old- handheld video games, books, ipod.  

ON THE IPOD- Download some TV shows (only a dollar fifty each) for them to watch.  Some little kid shows for the 3 yr. old, and let the older two choose a few.  Make sure you take snacks, because airlines don't give out peanuts anymore.  They have snackboxes SOMETIMES, but u have to pay for those.  Hope I helped!!
