  1. Maybe get in a hot tub pretty often.  Heat, the massage action of the water, and the steam might help.

  2. I agree that physical therapy is the best. My friend had frozen shoulder so severely she was put under anesthesia so her doctor could manipulate her shoulder and help her regain her mobility.  I'm going to PT and I've had steroid injections (didn't help much).  Hopefully I'll regain enough mobility to perform normal functions like putting on my seatbelt and such.

    Good luck to your Mom.

  3. I'm in the final stage of frozen shoulder, and i can honestly say that the only thing that helped was physical therapy. There is no cure, it just has to run its course. It can take up to 2 years to get better. I've had mine for a year now. The first 6 months were the worst. I just cried all the time because the pain was so unbearable. Mine just came out of nowhere, i never even heard of this condition before. I was surprised when i found out i had it since i was first diagnosed with a rotator cuff problem. Then i found out that wasn't what i had, it was frozen shoulder. Lots of stretching exercises, and ice, are the best things to do. Some people end up needing surgery if it does not get better by itself. Not a fun thing to go through at all :-(
