I want to work my upper body, mostly abs and arms, but I don't want to go to a gym or use workout gear. Are push-ups and sit-ups good, or are there better methods and exercises? Thanks!

  1. Pull-ups.

  2. push ups and sit ups are great workouts but you really shouls purchase a pair of dumbells because you can do multiple workouts with those to greatly increase your muscle tone and strength.

  3. Here are some exercises that require no equipment except for something like a coffee table and a couch.  I've also provided a link for each muscle group I've given exercises for(bicep, tricep, chest, forearm, abs).  Each link will take you to a page that has a picture of the exercise and a video link so you know exactly how to perform it.  Hope this helps...
