What are some good vacation destinations?

Question

We are trying to think of a good family vacation, hopefully to be taken next summer (so it doesn't interfere with school). The problem is, we all like something a little different. Basically we want something with beaches, near a big city, and with plenty to do and visit (e.g. historical landmarks, museums, monuments etc.).

It needs to be in the continental United States. We've already been to Washington DC, California, South Dakota, the Carolina's, Wyoming, Michigan, Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you know or can estimate the cost, please share that as well.

this is soo funny we have your same issue!

i asked the same question and someone say the US virgin islands, you wouldnt have to buy a passport and it would feel like going to the bahamas. renting a house in myrtle beach on the ocean is so fun! if u have never been to orlando thats always fun we rent a big house and invite a couple familys (i would suggest windsor hills gated community) and go to the parks for a couple days and u mustttt go to discovery cove and snorkle and swim with dolphins! they have great shopping to! i am also looking at sanibel island in florida. its a island right off of florida and has nature reserves and you can rent house on the water it loooks great! i hope i helped and hope u and i can figure out where were goiong for va-k!
