What are some good vegetarian foods?

I'm not a Vegan, Just no meat for me please...

I'm a new vegetarian, and I need some foods that I can have for like dinner. I also need some protein. Thanks

  1. Have at the dessert cart if you’re a regular vegetarian. If you’re vegan, stick with fresh fruit or sorbet.  


  2. I'm also a vegetarian. I like the substitute meat fron MorningStar& Bocca. My mom buys them for me so i won't feel tempted to eat meat& stay with my promise.( Don't ask. It's a long story) For example, you're at a barbeque& everyone is eating hamburgers. you can grab one of your veggie patties& pop 'em in the microwave, or on the grill with the rest of the meat. A healthy choice is to eat a veggie burger, (hotdog, chicken pattie, etc.) with lettauce, tomato, or anything else you would normally put on meat. Or for meals, go to this website.

    p.s.- Since you're a vegetarian, ALWAYS TAKE A MULTIVITAMIN!

  3. All veggies of course. They sell frozen veggie burgers. Tofu and soy are good. You need protein so look on Nutrition Expres website for a protien drink that is vegirtarian, they have it all. make sute you get enough minerals by supplementation....they have vegitarian vitamins and minerals also. Also, beans and lentils as well as nuts and nut butters are great...protien is a must!!  good luck. Miss Mary

Some that I like: lentil soup, vegetable soup, Veggie burger with fries or vegetables, pasta and pasta sauce, macaroni, cheese(less) pizza, tofu with vegetables, rice dishes, rice pilaf, baked potato, baked sweet potato,  salad, rice and beans, refried beans with nachos, burrito or taco with beans and vegetables, meat analogues (fake chicken, fake sausages and schnitzels), chili non carne (mix w/ soy protein), any type of vegetables, sweet and sour tofu, noodles, split pea soup, corn on the cob, etc.

  5. The best source of protein would come from dairy products such as cheese or milk in macaroni and cheese.

    You can also get protein from qourn products.

    Being a vegetarian you should eat lots of nuts and pulses.

    just eat:

    avocados.. most fruits in general, nuts and grains such as corn on the cob.

    steamed and or raw veggies and fruits are best foods.

    don't forget your dark, leafy greens, an IRON giant which is also essential.

    that simple.
