What are some good ways I can improve my Swedish?

I'm currently a college sophomore about to begin the 300-level in Swedish. I'd say I'm the 2nd best student in the class grammar/vocab/pronunciation-wise, plus I learned Danish a few years ago, so that helps.

Anyway, what can I do to either improve my Swedish proficiency in general (vocab especially) and to make sure I don't take a step back, so to speak, during my summer break. I already read blogs, sometimes Swedish newspapers, listen to Swedish music, and I translate things from time to time. Any tips would be great!

  1. If you've got time, you definitely should travel to Sweden and live there for some time!! I know, this ain't always easy to realize, but you asked me what would be the best thing, and this would absolutely be the best thing!!

Or, another suggestion would be, to look for a Swedish pen pal. I'm sure that would help as well and in addition, you'd have a new friend and you could learn a lot about another culture and country from somebody who actually lives there!
