What are some good ways for fun babysitting?

I have to babysit a bunch of kids and I have no idea of what things to bring and i have what to do while I'm there. I mean there will be things to do for them but my friends and I have to come up with some games. Can anyone help us?

i actually babysat last night and i brought the game pick up sticks. they LOVED it and we played it for hours.. haha. You could also bring coloring books. or some cool movies. Also, i let them use my phone to text people. haha they really had fun with that (of course i only let them text the people i knew). You could make ooblick! er whatever it is called. That was fun.

When i first babysat i worried about this too. But usually when you get there, you have so many other responsibilities to take care of when your there like meals, snacks, clean up toys, meet the kids/parents when you get there, bed time routines, ect.... that you don't even need to plan that much. Usually the kids have a bunch of toys there that you end up playing with, and games that they might have in mind. Keep in mind that if this is your first time babysitting for this family, that the kids won't be that open to playing all these games/things you have in mind when you go over there. This doesn't mean they won't play with you, it's just sometimes it take certain kids longer than others to ajust to people!

Games that are a hit when i babysit:

Hide and go seek

Ring around the rosey

Tag/Chase

The Couch Is Safe (Chase the kids pretending to be a monster or something and the couch is a safe zone...funner than u may think)

Ask the parents if it's ok if you take them outside. Sometimes just playing on the swing set or taking them for a walk occupies them. Chalk is also a fun thing to do.

COLORING! Bring some crayons and coloring books - thats really fun for them.

Arts and crafts are super fun.

You can bake something simple like chocolate chip cookies
